Maybe I got caught up in thinking 

our meeting was fate. 

 

When, maybe 

it was just chance.

 

 

Maybe falling 

for you was good for me. 

 

When, maybe it was not.

 

 

Maybe the anger and the pain 

has been just hurtful. 

 

When, maybe 

it was constructive; 

 

helping me to see myself 

for the first time.

 

 

Maybe you nearly destroyed me.

I just needed you
